Motorcycle accident in Lynnfield sends one person to the hospital

As the weather warms up for spring, more and more venture outside to enjoy the beautiful scenery that Massachusetts offers to its residents. The warmer temperatures bring out many more pedestrians, bicycle riders, and motorcyclists.

Recently, it was reported that a motorcycle accident occurred in Lynnfield near Lowell and Main Street. One victim of this accident was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. It is unknown at this time the cause of this accident. Many times, motorcycle accidents are caused when the driver of a car or truck does not see the motorcycle in time to avoid a collision. In addition, there are many other possible causes for these accidents, including driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, careless driving and distracted driving.

If a collision with a car or truck does occur, motorcyclists are very vulnerable to suffering serious and even catastrophic injuries. If a motorcyclist is injured due to another’s negligence, they are entitled to seek compensation for their injuries. They may be entitled to recover damages for lost wages due to the injury, all medical expenses incurred due to the injury, future medical expenses, and loss of future income. They may also be entitled to receive damages for pain and suffering caused by the accident. If someone suffers a permanent disability as a result of an accident, they may seek additional damages as well.

It is important that accidents victims understand their rights, but this can be more important for motorcycle accident victims because of the likely severity of their injuries. While a lawsuit may take time, it is often the best way to ensure that victims have a pathway back to normalcy.
