Advocating for injured workers in Massachusetts

A previous post here discussed a fire and explosion at a Massachusetts sewage plant that left several individuals harmed. Although the physical pain and suffering that can accompany such an incident can be significant, the harm doesn’t end there. Instead, victims of workplace accidents also have to cope with the oftentimes devastating costs that arise from receiving medical care, and the injuries suffered may leave them unable to work, meaning they may lose out on much needed wages. These financial losses, taken together with the physical and emotional pain suffered in these instances, can leave a victim totally overwhelmed.

Fortunately, Massachusetts residents who have been injured on the job may have legal options to assist in recouping financial losses. Chief amongst them is the ability to seek workers’ compensation. A successful workers’ compensation claim could bring compensation needed to cover medical expenses and recoup lost wages.

But, as great as that sounds, it is important to know that certain requirements must be met in order to recover benefits, and failing to meet those requirements means that a claim could be denied, leaving an injured worker struggling for financial assistance. Massachusetts residents may need to get more information about their own unique situation.

At our law firm we work with our clients to help them prepare and seek the workers’ compensation they deserve. We advocate for our clients and work to recover the resources they need to get back on their feet after a workplace accident in Massachusetts leaves them with injuries.
