Massachusetts residents may be interested to learn of a recent horrific accident that killed a popular former middle school teacher of the town of Middleboro. According to reports, the police have now charged the 20-year-old driver that struck the 61-year-old former teacher with vehicle homicide. The criminal charge stems from the allegation that the 20-year-old was driving while intoxicated when the car accident occurred.
Massachusetts residents may be interested to learn of a recently released study which shows an alarming trend with respect to teenage drivers. The study, which examines statistics from each state, compared the rate of deaths among drivers between the ages of 16 and 17 for the first six months of 2012 as compared to the first six months of 2011.
Recently, a 41 year old Massachusetts woman who was driving in heavy traffic on Interstate 84 in Middlebury, Connecticut, was struck from behind by another Massachusetts resident, who was behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer. Apparently, the force of the collision caused a chainlike effect and the deceased woman's car struck the one in front of her, which struck the next one and so on. Five vehicles were involved in this tragic car accident. There were eight other people that were injured as a result of the accident, one with serious injuries.
