The study, which examines statistics from each state, compared the rate of deaths among drivers between the ages of 16 and 17 for the first six months of 2012 as compared to the first six months of 2011.

Recently, a jury in the Berkshire Superior Court found a Pittsfield man guilty in a case of vehicular homicide. According to reports, the 54-year-old crossed the middle line of a road and struck an oncoming car head-on. Two brothers injured in car accident in Barre

Recently, two brothers were involved in a car accident with another vehicle at Barre Road and Old Boston Turnpike. According to reports, the two brothers, ages 23 and 17, were traveling in a pickup truck when they collided at the intersection with a Lincoln Town Car. The 84-year-old driver of the Lincoln Town Car was issued a citation for failing to stop at a stop sign, and the driver and an 84-year-old passenger in his vehicle were taken to the hospital following the crash. Their condition is not immediately known.

Head-on collision sends four to the hospital

Massachusetts residents know that although the holidays typically bring cheer and cause for celebration, unfortunately, tragedy can strike at any time. Recently, a horrific car accident occurred when a Ford F150 pickup truck and a Mitsubishi Montero Sport were involved in a head-on collision on South Street in Fitchburg.

Massachusetts motorist will not be charged for deadly crash

Massachusetts residents have likely noticed an increase in the number of bicycle drivers on the roads in recent years. Massachusetts woman dies in five car accident on I84

Recently, a 41 year old Massachusetts woman who was driving in heavy traffic on Interstate 84 in Middlebury, Connecticut, was struck from behind by another Massachusetts resident, who was behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer. Apparently, the force of the collision caused a chainlike effect and the deceased woman's car struck the one in front of her, which struck the next one and so on. Five vehicles were involved in this tragic car accident. There were eight other people that were injured as a result of the accident, one with serious injuries.

Massachusetts doctor charged with DUI in car wreck

A Wellesley emergency room doctor was recently involved in a car crash that left a 78-year-old with numerous injuries. According to reports, the doctor appears to have been under the influence of prescription drugs, which were found in her possession at the time of the accident. The doctor who won a prestigious "doctor of the year" award in 2009 has now been charged with DUI.
