Head-on car collisions can be catastrophic and deadly. Many head-on collisions are caused by drunk drivers. Recently, two drivers that were involved in a car accident in Worcester are fortunate to have escaped with their lives; however, they have both reportedly suffered serious injuries.

Recently, two brothers were involved in a car accident with another vehicle at Barre Road and Old Boston Turnpike. According to reports, the two brothers, ages 23 and 17, were traveling in a pickup truck when they collided at the intersection with a Lincoln Town Car. The 84-year-old driver of the Lincoln Town Car was issued a citation for failing to stop at a stop sign, and the driver and an 84-year-old passenger in his vehicle were taken to the hospital following the crash. Their condition is not immediately known.

Recently, a horrific car accident occurred when a Ford F150 pickup truck and a Mitsubishi Montero Sport were involved in a head-on collision on South Street in Fitchburg.

Recently, a 41 year old Massachusetts woman who was driving in heavy traffic on Interstate 84 in Middlebury, Connecticut, was struck from behind by another Massachusetts resident, who was behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer. Apparently, the force of the collision caused a chainlike effect and the deceased woman's car struck the one in front of her, which struck the next one and so on. Five vehicles were involved in this tragic car accident. There were eight other people that were injured as a result of the accident, one with serious injuries.
A Wellesley emergency room doctor was recently involved in a car crash that left a 78-year-old with numerous injuries. According to reports, the doctor appears to have been under the influence of prescription drugs, which were found in her possession at the time of the accident. The doctor who won a prestigious "doctor of the year" award in 2009 has now been charged with DUI.
