Massachusetts construction worker hurt in fall

Every day, Massachusetts’ construction workers put themselves at risk for the sake of their job. They often climb to extreme heights, work near moving vehicles, and operate heavy and dangerous machinery. Fortunately, most of the time, these workers are kept safe thanks to workplace laws and regulations. In some instances, though, mishaps occur and workers are left injured. When this happens, a victim could have a long road to recovery.

One Massachusetts man may be on that road after being seriously injured in a fall. According to reports, the construction worker fell nearly 25 feet from a building at a local college campus. The man was working on repairs to the building when he fell. The exact cause of the accident, however, is unknown at this time. The victim was rushed to the hospital where is current condition is unknown.

A workplace accident like this can be caused by any number of factors. It could have been the result of unsafe working conditions, improper training, or inadequate supervision. No matter the circumstances, an injured worker should consider filing for workers’ compensation, as he or she will likely need the money to help cover medical expenses and lost wages. Failing to do so could leave an injured worker in dire financial straits.

The workers’ compensation process is fraught with legal complications. Claims can be initially denied for a variety of reasons, which might leave a workplace accident victim disheartened. However, by speaking with an experienced Massachusetts workers’ compensation attorney, these individuals may learn they have a strong chance of success on appeal. Such an attorney may be able to help these individuals with their appeals and reach a resolution that is as fair as possible, hopefully allowing them to recover at least some of their losses.
